Well, it’s that time of year when the children start to bombard you with all of
their Christmas gift wishes and lists and it seems as though every other
television commercial is yet another advertisement about a toy or gadget that every child just can’t live without! Ahhh, I remember those days! Well, now that I am a parent myself, I am gift giver and on the receiving end of the lists. Both of my children are still at the ages where they get excited about putting up the decorations, making their Christmas lists and all of the hoopla that goes along with the holiday season. And why shouldn’t they? After all, one of the greatest joys that I feel on Christmas Day at this stage in my life, is watching the looks on my children’s faces when they open their gifts and it’s exactly what they had hoped for.
Spoiler Alert: By the way, my children figured out a long time ago that “Mommy and Daddy” are the real culprits behind all of the gifts and not the man in the red suit and his elves. LOL!

Although I have still allowed myself to get excited and caught up into the
holiday festivities for the benefit of my family, somehow my outlook and
how I feel are different this year. In what way you ask? I think that the best
way that I can explain it, is that for the first time, I really recognize and
feel the anointing and the power of God working in my life! Let me explain
further. Are you familiar with the scripture Romans 8:28? If not,  it says:
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God,
to those who are called according to His purpose.”
For me, since God
imparted the vision for this blog in my spirit, it has given me the courage to
face my truths and share my journey of re-discovery and empowerment with others while at the same time growing in my relationship with God. A part of being led to share my journey, has also afforded me the opportunity to reach and inspire others who are going through or have gone through similar
circumstances which then lets them know that they are not alone! The fact that God trusted me to use His vision in the first place, is mind blowing on a whole other level to me! That in itself, told me that He  saw something in me that I didn’t see in myself. I am also led to believe that because I was at a point in my life of feeling unfulfilled, coupled with the fact that I had enough of a relationship with God (and enough sense) to pray for Him to lead me into my
true PURPOSE, He trusted me with it. Which leads me to then ask this question, “What greater gift then could I ask for?” The answer is simple, Nothing! All I want for Christmas is MORE of God in my life!

I pray that you and your family have a blessed and fulfilled Holiday season and I look forward to the New Year and the opportunity to inspire you as I continue my journey of re-discovery and empowerment through the experience of
being laid off. I’m believing God for GREATER in my life and I know that He has greater for you too! Merry Christmas!
